2013 Midnight Madness, Ed. 1- Creighton WBB

The new college basketball season is just around the corner, and A Lot Of Sports Talk has been covering media days in different conferences and has able to talk with a host of players and head coaches who are bound to make the 2013-14 season a memorable one across the nation. We roll out some of our interesting and insightful conversations at the midnight hour on Friday night, as the unofficial start to the college basketball season gets started with Midnight Madness.

We start with the ladies for our first interview, as the Creighton Blue Jays women’s team is entering a new era as a member of the Big East Conference, and doing so off the heels of a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and a win in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament over Syracuse. Four starters return this season, including 2013 All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team selections Sarah Nelson and Marissa Janning. (Janning also was the 2013 MVC Freshman of the Year.) Both Nelson and Janning stopped over to talk with A Lot Of Sports Talk‘s Adesina Koiki about adjusting to a new league, what skill sets each of them bring to the hardwood, as well as why some native New Yorkers might have been giving them questionable looks during their time in the Big Apple.

Enjoy our interview with Janning and Nelson, as well as our upcoming interviews to be published in the wee hours of the night as Midnight Madness rolls on across the country. Don’t forget to take your NoDoz.
