WASHINGTON — Two Hall-of-Fame coaches. Two historic programs. Multiple future first-round NBA Draft picks. All will be featured in our nation’s capital in just a few minutes.
But only one spot in Minneapolis is up for grabs when Michigan State and Duke, the top two seeds in the East Region of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, square off at Capital One Arena this afternoon. Can the Blue Devils and their host of talented freshmen cap off their (likely) only season in Durham with a Final Four appearance or will Tom Izzo turn around a terrible record against Mike Krzyzewski — Duke has won seven straight in the series and nine of the last 10 — and lift the Spartans to their first Final Four since 2015. (Of course, the Spartans lost to Duke in the national semifinals that year.)
