How afraid should you be of the roar coming from the Motor City?

In our latest episode of Down and Distance, our co-hosts, Holly Culbertson and Adesina O. Koiki, discuss on First Down what to make of the Detroit Lions and if they are indeed the favorites to win the NFC North and become a division winner for the first time since 1993. The segment also features a review of Thursday night’s win by the Kansas City Chiefs over the Oakland Raiders and whether the Chiefs, now 10-3, are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. (One of the two hosts doesn’t think they are at this moment in time.)

On Second Down, we have an interview with former Tennessee Titans tight end Frank Wycheck, best known as the man who threw the lateral pass to Kevin Dyson before Dyson’s last-second touchdown return in the playoff game now known as the “Music City Miracle.” Now working as a color commentator for the Tennessee Titans Radio Network, Wycheck joins us to talk about the 2016 version of the squad and the improvements Marcus Mariota has made in his season season as a professional quarterback. Also, Wycheck explains why an unheralded group of receivers has caused problems to teams in the passing game, as well as the dynamic defensive front Tennessee has assembled. Finally, we asked him about the famous play he was involved in during the playoff game against the Buffalo Bills at the end of the 1999 season and his memories of one of the most famous plays in NFL history.

Third Down brings a preview of, and predictions on, eight different games in Week 14, including whether the Titans can hold serve at home to defeat the Denver Broncos, as well as if the Green Bay Packers can continue their late-season turnaround at Lambeau Field at the expense of the Seattle Seahawks. On fourth down, Holly decides whether Dak Prescott will join Aaron Rodgers as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to have a 100 or better quarterback rating in 13 games in a single season.
