It’s a new year, and we’re back with bringing you some of the best game stories – in pictures.

On Saturday afternoon, Saint Joseph’s and Fordham battled in an Atlantic-10 Conference matchup. The contest also is a part of the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight. In its own words, the JBS is a nationwide effort to capitalize on basketball games between Jesuit schools and, through those games, bring greater positive awareness and exposure to Jesuit education and its shared mission. The project was developed in 2008 and, each season, more than 80 basketball games are played in which Jesuit institutions square off against each other on the basketball court.

In this specific contest, it was the Hawks who came away with 70-55 victory over the home-standing Rams, with forward James Demery leading the way for Saint Joe’s with 27 points. The win also turned out to be a milestone, as the dean of A-10 head coaches, Phil Martelli, notched his 200th career conference win as head coach.
