NEW YORK — Washington Nationals second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera was mad at his former employer, the New York Mets, during the offseason. On Sunday afternoon, Cabrera got even.
The recently-acquired Cabrera lined a tie-breaking two-run double to right in the seventh inning to lead the Nationals to a 7-4 victory over the New York Mets, snapping the Mets’ eight-game winning streak and keeping Washington atop the National League Wild Card standings.
