NEW YORK — The Miami Marlins kicked, stumbled, and threw away two games on Tuesday and, to a man, knew that cleaning up those mistakes were not just paramount to ending the losing streak they came into Wednesday with but finishing the season on a positive note. A come-from-behind victory on Wednesday night certainly was a step in the right direction to build that momentum to close 2021.

Miguel Rojas capped a three-run rally in the eighth inning with a two-out two-run single as the Miami Marlins, who committed three errors and committed a number of base-running errors while getting swept in a doubleheader less than 24 hours ago, defeated the New York Mets 3-2.
