WASHINGTON — Despite building itself up to becoming one of the leviathans of the Eastern Conference over the past couple of years, the Philadelphia 76ers’ struggles against one of the minnows of their conference continues to remain a mystery.

They were no closer to solving that conundrum in their personal house of horrors, Washington, D.C., on Thursday evening.

Washington rookie Rui Hachimura continued to excel since moving to the center position, netting 27 points, while Bradley Beal contributed 26 in the Wizards’ 119-113 victory over Philadelphia at Capital One Arena, Washington’s 10th consecutive victory over the 76ers in games played in the nation’s capital.

Davis Bertans scored 25 points off the bench for the Wizards, including nailing seven shots from behind the arc.
