WASHINGTON — For the foreseeable future, Georgetown guard Jahvon Blair and his teammates know they cannot afford to miss out on even one second on the playing floor if they hope to lift the Hoyas back into the NCAA Tournament. On Saturday afternoon, the Hoyas needed every Blair point and minute played – and there were a lot in both categories – to stay on track and avoid what could have been a damaging loss to their postseason aspirations.

For the second time in three games, Blair scored a career-high, and his 30 points while playing all 40 minutes helped lead the Hoyas to a 76-72 victory over the DePaul Blue Demons at Capital One Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Omer Yurtseven had 16 points while Terrell Allen had 12 points and nine assists and the Hoyas, down to just nine scholarship players, played without leading scorer Mac Mclung, still out with a foot injury suffered two weeks ago.
