ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN — The almost eight full years of Michigan football under Jim Harbaugh are getting ever closer to becoming the halcyon days of the storied program, though two big warts have blighted the stretch of otherwise great gridiron work from the Maize and Blue: getting the upper hand in their two biggest rivalry games.

After finally taking down the Buckeyes at the seventh time of asking last fall in his seventh try, Harbaugh, along with the rest of the Wolverines, continued on their revenge tour on Saturday night against their in-state blood rival.

Running back Blake Corum scored a touchdown rushing and receiving, Jake Moody kicked five field goals and the Michigan defense stymied Michigan State’s offense in the second half as the Wolverines defeated the Spartans 29-7 at Michigan Stadium on Saturday. The win snapped a two-game Michigan losing streak in the series, as the Spartans had won 10 of the last 14 games between the programs before tonight.
