Jerrell Freeman interview- Football Friday (Audio)

While one influential Indianapolis Colts rookie came out of college labeled a bona fide star (No. 1 overall pick Andrew Luck), another standout first-year player took a much longer and much more winding path to the National Football League. Five years removed from leaving school and after three years of playing in the Canadian Football League, linebacker Jerrell Freeman – the pride of Division III college Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) – currently leads the 6-3 Colts in tackles, already making the most of his NFL opportunity. The 26-year-old Freeman talked with A Lot Of Sports Talk to discuss his story of perseverance and humility, how much “fun” he had playing in the cold weather of Canada as a native Texan, and why stopping Tom Brady might be harder in virtual reality than in real life. The Colts play in Foxboro against the New England Patriots this Sunday afternoon (4:25 PM ET).
