In his first of what likely will be two consecutive appearances in the Golden State in less than a week, Milwaukee Brewers starter Corbin Burnes did everything but get the win in another sterling start for the now two-time All-Star. His teammates took care of securing the victory in extra innings.

Burnes pitched into the eighth inning and held the Giants offense to just two runs while Jonathan Davis’ infield single with two outs in the tenth scored the game-winning run in the Brewers’ 3-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on Thursday evening. Reliever Devin Williams, whose numbers this season were worthy of All-Star consideration, worked a perfect ninth inning to seal the win.
