BALTIMORE \u2014 In a perfect world, the majority of the regular season games remaining for the Baltimore Orioles would look exactly like the way things unfolded on Wednesday night: a great start, followed immediately by the devastating combination of their two late-game bullpen arms to shut the door.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Starting pitcher Kyle Bradish pitched into the seventh inning allowed just one run, while the combination of Yennier Cano and F\u00e9lix Bautista dominated the eighth and ninth innings respectively in the Orioles 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night. Austin Hays hit his fifth home run of the season in the fifth inning, a solo shot, as the Orioles also played small ball in the third and fourth innings to scratch out a couple of runs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bradish, who was drafted by the Angels in the fourth round in 2018, faced off against his former franchise for the first time and quickly went about what the Angels ended up missing out on. Only one batter reached second base in Bradish’s 6 2\/3 innings, coming on a solo home run by Mile Trout in the fourth inning, as he allowed just four hits while not walking a batter. This was Bradish’s second consecutive start in allowing one run, and that run last Friday against Pittsburgh was an unearned run in a win over the Pirates.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
