BALTIMORE — It took the final game of the series for it to happen, but Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout combined their superpowers at the plate to help the Los Angeles Angels salvage a split against one of the best teams in the American League.

Ohtani opened the scoring in the first inning with a solo home run while Trout added a two-run shot in the third inning as the Angels ended up coming from behind to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 on Thursday afternoon inside Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Ohtani eventually had the game-winning hit when he legged out an infield single with two outs in the eighth inning, capping a two-run rally after Baltimore had taken its first lead in the previous half inning.

It was the third time this season that the two megastars homered in the same game and the 25th time overall since they first became teammates in 2018.
