FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year was finally back in the lineup for No. 22 TCU after a couple of weeks on the shelf, and to mark the occasion of the Horned Frogs getting back to 100 percent health, they put on an A-plus performance on Saturday afternoon. Better yet, they put up a perfect score: 100.

Mike Miles Jr., playing for the first time this month, scored 15 points upon his return from a knee injury, helping to lead the No. 22 Horned Frogs to a 100-75 victory over Oklahoma State at Schollmaier Arena on Saturday afternoon. Backcourt mate Damion Baugh had 16 points and 11 assists, while Emanuel Miller led six TCU players who scored in double figures with 18 points.

The win ended a four-game losing streak for TCU, who had been ranked as high as No. 11 in the country as late as January 28, the day when Miles hyperextended his knee in loss at Mississippi State. After a victory against West Virginia three days later, the Horned Frogs went on their slide.

Back on the court and in the starting lineup, Miles drained a three-pointer with his first shot to give the Horned Frogs an 11-9 lead almost six minutes into the game.

“It was good being back out there with my guys helping,” Miles said. “It hurt me being on the bench while we were losing, not being able to help.”

The Cowboys fought back to take the lead at 19-16 on a three-pointer by John-Michael Wright, but then TCU responded with a 31-8 run to close the half with a 20-point lead at 47-27. For the game, the Horned Frogs shot a staggering 68.4 percent from the field (39-for-57), the third-best shooting performance in school history. TCU head coach Jamie Dixon was also instrumental in the top two shooting performances in the program; he was a guard for the Horned Frogs when TCU shot 69.9 percent against Howard Payne on November 26, 1985, and 69.1 percent against Oklahoma State on December 26, 1986.

Bryce Thompson led the Cowboys with 18 points while Wright chipped in 15 as Oklahoma State has lost its last two contests after a five-game winning streak.
