WASHINGTON — So long as the combination of Washington Wizards stars Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma are front and center in their team’s offensive attack, the team will be in a good position to win every game it takes the floor. Right now, winning is all the Wizards are doing, and the dynamic duo took turns in each half to close out another victory.

Kuzma filled up the stat sheet with 28 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Wizards defeated the Charlotte Hornets 106-102 inside Capital One Arena on Sunday evening. Beal added 26 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals as the Wizards have won six out of their last seven games while improving their record to 7-3 in the month of November.

After an anemic 18-point third quarter that saw a four-point halftime lead into a two-point deficit to begin the fourth, the Wizards took the lead for good at the outset of the final stanza as Kuzma nailed back-to-back three-pointers to give Washington an 83-79 advantage. His layup at the 9:48 mark of the fourth capped an 11-2 Washington run to begin the fourth.

The Hornets stayed tight with the Wizards, and closed their deficit to 102-100 on a Terry Rozier layup with 10 seconds remaining. Kristaps Porzingis made two free throws afterward, and when Gordon Hayward scored on a dunk to cut the lead to two once again with six seconds left, Corey Kispert nailed two more free throws for the Wizards to provide the final margin.
