BALTIMORE — James Madison saw another opponent give it its best shot, and the Dukes found themselves in another tense and tight affair before the end of the calendar year. It’s a good thing that the Dukes have had lots of experience in those sorts of games, and like every such instance this season, they’ve come out of the other end unscathed.

Better yet, today’s win is also a historic one in Dukes’ basketball annals, in a season where more history looks as if it is going to be made.

Terrence Edwards Jr. scored 29 points as No. 20 James Madison blew a 12-point second-half lead before recovering to record an 89-75 victory over Morgan State inside Hill Field House in Baltimore on Friday afternoon. Raekwon Horton, averaging 6.2 points per game coming in, went for 16 points in 20 minutes as the Dukes tied the school record with their 12th consecutive victory.
