MINNEAPOLIS — And on the 12th shot, Caitlin Clark’s mind could finally be at rest.

The supernova that is Caitlin Clark arrived in Minneapolis to begin her final journey in the Big Ten Tournament with the NCAA scoring record in tow after her historic regular-season finale against Ohio State, but there were more wins, and records, to be had. The win was taken care of by the second-seeded Hawkeyes, who were able to easily dismiss No. 7 Penn State 95-62 to advance to their fourth consecutive semifinal.

The record, the NCAA D-1 mark for made three-pointers in a season, was much harder to come by for Clark, who came into tonight tied with living legend Steph Curry and former Liberty star Darius McGhee with 162 makes from beyond the arc. Clark missed all six of her threes in the first half, with that barren run from beyond the arc reaching all the way to 11 before knocking down a deep ball from the left wing at the 8:39 mark of the fourth quarter.

Even on an off night shooting, Clark ended the game with 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
