BALTIMORE — In consecutive innings late in Friday night’s contest, Baltimore Orioles rookie phenom Adley Rutschman showed the latest sign of his superstardom ability making an indelible impact on all facets of the baseball diamond. The game is slowing down more for Rutschman while his progression as a professional has been meteoric in the last couple of weeks.

Rutschman delivered the game-winning hit, an RBI single into center in the seventh inning, to push home the only run of the game in the Orioles’ 1-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Camden Yards on Friday. Behind the plate, Rutschman guided starting Dean Kremer through six scoreless innings before three relievers completed the fifth shutout of the season for Baltimore.
