It’s a feat of collective dominance that the National Football League has never seen. But how long will the quartet of undefeated teams stay that way?

In our latest episode of Down and Distance, our co-hosts, Holly Culbertson and Adesina O. Koiki, discuss on First Down whether one of the undefeated teams, the Cincinnati Bengals, really have the look of a legitimate Super Bowl contender after their Thursday night win over the Cleveland Browns. Two teams who thought they were Super Bowl contenders to begin the season, the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts, have fallen on hard times, and we delve into what has gone so wrong for two teams that won a combined 22 games last season, along with two triumphs in the playoffs.

On Second Down, we have a one-on-one interview with former Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman and current team radio broadcaster Dave Lapham and discuss what has been the secret to the Bengals success in 2015 so far. Included in the conversation is figuring out how Andy Dalton has taken that next step to become a legitimate MVP candidate, how Marvin Lewis has persevered during his tenure as Bengals coach to see the team reach heights it has rarely seen, and the improvements that still need to be made during the second half of the season. Also, Lapham, who was a Bengals offensive lineman in the 1970s and 1980s, discusses what it was like to play in the coldest game in NFL history, the 1981 AFC Championship Game between the Bengals and San Diego Chargers, known as the “Freezer Bowl.”

Third Down brings a preview of, and predictions on, seven different games in Week Nine of the season, including whether the Carolina Panthers will stay undefeated when the previously unbeaten Green Bay Packers head into Charlotte. Also, can the Oakland Raiders travel across the country and continue their good run of form in the Steel City? On fourth down, Holly ponders whether more than one of the four undefeated teams in the league will remain so in time for Thanksgiving turkey.
