DALLAS — If only New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra were around, he would have uttered one of his famous quips to describe Monday night’s Dallas Stars game: It was déjà vu all over again. At least, on this occasion, the Stars were on the right end of a sudden repeat of history.

Mason Marchment scored the game-winning goal after a successful Stars challenge early in the final period, the third of six unanswered goals for Dallas during a 6-3 victory over the red-hot New York Rangers inside American Airlines Arena. Six different players scored for the stars, who came back from a 2-0 deficit to stop the Blueshirts’ 11-game point streak.

On Saturday night in the same building, the Stars led 3-0 against Colorado before the Avalanche scored the final six goals of the game to steal a 6-3 victory.

“From the second period on, we got to our game and stated to take the game over. It felt a little bit like the Colorado game in reverse,” Stars head coach Pete DeBoer said. “I don’t think we loved our first period. We gave them too much room and too much time. We came out in the second and third and played the way we needed to play against a team like that and got rewarded for it.”
