WASHINGTON — On a night when Washington Mystics forward Elena Delle Donne received the league’s highest individual honor, the teammate that she has referred to as “the missing piece” put on an MVP-type performance to lead the Mystics one step closer to return trip to the WNBA Finals.

Emma Meesseman scored a playoff career-high 30 points to lead six players who scored in double figures in Washington’s 103-91 victory over the Las Vegas Aces to open up a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series in the WNBA semifinals.
