WASHINGTON — In their final home game of the month of July, the Washington Mystics made sure to walk off the court with a better feeling than the last two games inside their friendly confines.

Natasha Cloud had 23 points and dished out nine assists as Washington took control of the game in the second quarter in defeating the Phoenix Mercury 84-69 inside the Entertainment & Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon. Cloud’s backcourt mate, Brittney Sykes, also scored 23 points as the Mystics snapped a two-game losing streak while finishing their four-game homestand at 2-2.
